Miami HeatThis is a tough blow for Johnson as it rules him out for the entire preseason. The forward is on a two-way contract and is expected to feature for Miami's G League affiliate.OutEst. Oct 26

LA ClippersNiederhauser is progressing from March surgery but won't be able to suit up to begin the year. The Clippers are likely to take a cautious approach with the 2025 first-rounder. Isaiah Jackson should occupy the backup center spot behind Brook Lopez early in the campaign.OutEst. Nov 1

LA ClippersThe Clippers learned about the injury this summer, though it's unclear exactly how far along Ingram is in his recovery. The star forward's timeline for a return is unclear, clouding his fantasy outlook in the meantime. Darius Garland should take on all the usage he can handle in Ingram's stead, while Kris Dunn and Max Strus could have additional streaming appeal early in the year.OutEst. Nov 1

Washington WizardsAlthough the big man will remain a limited participant in training camp as he continues his rehab from a hip impingement, it sounds like his absence from game action will extend into the regular season. Deandre Ayton should have the backup center role all to himself until Vukcevic is cleared to retake the floor.OutEst. Nov 2
MM
Golden State WarriorsMoody suffered the injury March 23 and underwent season-ending surgery four days later. The 24-year-old had been targeting September to resume running and on-court work, so his latest progress appears to keep his rehabilitation on track, though he remains without a firm timetable for his return to game action.OutEst. Dec 1
JB
Jimmy ButlerG-F
Golden State WarriorsButler is still months away from retaking the floor, according to Nick Friedell of The Athletic, so a season debut at some point December might be too optimistic. The star forward remains without a definitive timeline for a return after undergoing ACL surgery in early February, which typically carries at least a nine-month recovery period. Butler makes sense as an injury stash at the end of fantasy drafts, but managers should likely be bracing for him to miss at least the first two months of the regular season.OutEst. Jan 2

Phoenix SunsThis is a tough blow for the center with training camp right around the corner. With his status for Opening Night in jeopardy, this will put a lot of eyes on Oso Ighodaro and Khaman Maluach, with the latter already drawing buzz during the Summer League. More clarity on Williams' timeline should be known in the coming weeks.OutEst. Feb 3

LA ClippersIt's a tough break for Miller, who had an opportunity to battle for a reserve role during training camp in the fall. The timeline for a return is likely to keep him on the shelf until after the All-Star break. Miller's extended stay on the sidelines gives Kobe Sanders a chance to crack the Clippers' rotation.OutEst. Mar 1

Portland Trail BlazersIt's a tough blow to the Trail Blazers' depth on the wing ahead of training camp. Sharpe, who is now likely to be sidelined until after the All-Star break, had been ticketed for a reserve role behind Toumani Camara following an injury-plagued 2025-26 campaign, which saw average a career-high 20.8 points, 1.4 steals and 2.1 three-pointers per game over 50 regular-season appearances. The door is now open for Vit Krejci and Jeremy Sochan to compete for bench minutes during camp.OutEst. Mar 2

Minnesota TimberwolvesDiVincenzo underwent surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles in late April, but there's optimism he'll be able to contribute for the Timberwolves later this year. Although the door is open for the sharpshooter to make a late-season return, he's highly unlikely to be a factor in fantasy leagues in 2026-27.OutEst. Apr 1
JW
Washington WizardsWatkins, a two-way player for the Wizards, suffered the injury during the Summer League. Although Washington has yet to offer a timetable for a return, a typical recovery time for the procedure is approximately 9-to-12 months. That leaves Watkins in serious jeopardy of missing most, if not all, of the 2026-27 season, and it remains to be seen if the team will continue keeping him around on a two-way roster spot while he's injured.OutEst. Memphis GrizzliesThe Grizzlies continue to evaluate Edey throughout training camp, and they believe he's trending in the right direction. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on his recovery from elbow and ankle surgeries.QuestionableEst. Oct 5

Atlanta HawksDennis will miss a third consecutive contest due to a right Achilles issue. He appeared in just one Las Vegas Summer League game, posting 10 points, three assists, three steals and two rebounds in 16 minutes during the July 9 win over the Spurs.QuestionableEst. Oct 5
KG
Atlanta HawksA hip injury cost Gilbert his final three games in Las Vegas. In his one appearance for the Hawks at Summer League, he finished with 10 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals in 20 minutes off the bench.QuestionableEst. Oct 5

Philadelphia 76ersBona has been recovering from a foot sprain he suffered during the offseason. According to Nurse, there's a chance he could be back for a portion of the preseason. Bona is currently penciled in as Joel Embiid's backup for the upcoming season.QuestionableEst. Oct 5
MP
Micah PeavyG-F
Memphis GrizzliesPeavy was traded from New Orleans to Memphis on Sept. 8 after averaging 4.3 points and 1.9 rebounds in 15.0 minutes per game during his rookie season with the Pelicans. The 25-year-old forward faces plenty of competition for playing time on the rebuilding Grizzlies, and it's unclear if he'll be able to suit up during the preseason, which does not bode well for his chances of carving out a meaningful role early in the season.QuestionableEst. Oct 5

Detroit PistonsDuren signed a five-year, $200 million contract with the Pistons on Thursday after an offseason of negotiating. It's unclear exactly why the big man isn't at Saturday's practice, though he can be considered questionable for Detroit's preseason opener against the Suns on Monday.QuestionableEst. Oct 5

Oklahoma City ThunderGeneral manager Sam Presti announced the restriction Thursday, and Topic is currently dealing with a back issue stemming from offseason surgery. The 21-year-old guard's participation level will be worth monitoring throughout camp as Oklahoma City prepares for the preseason.QuestionableEst. Oct 6

Denver NuggetsJones tweaked his hamstring during training camp and did not practice Friday. According to Brendan Vogt of TheDNVR.com, head coach David Adelman said pregame that the goal is for the 25-year-old forward to be available for the regular-season opener against the Thunder on Oct. 22, so it wouldn't be surprising if he missed most, if not all, of the preseason.QuestionableEst. Oct 6
KF
Utah JazzFilipowski is dealing with a tight lower back, so he'll sit out Sunday's exhibition. His next chance to play will come in a rematch with the Nuggets on Tuesday.QuestionableEst. Oct 6

Utah JazzThe severity of the left knee issue is unknown, though Green will sit out Utah's preseason opener. His next chance to play in the preseason will come in Tuesday's rematch against Denver.QuestionableEst. Oct 6
BS
Utah JazzSensabaugh's absence from Sunday's exhibition seems largely precautionary. His next chance to play will come Tuesday in a rematch with the Nuggets.QuestionableEst. Oct 6

Denver NuggetsMurray is dealing with a personal matter, but it shouldn't affect his status for the regular-season opener. His next chance to play will come Tuesday in Utah. Tyus Jones should see an expanded role with Murray unavailable.QuestionableEst. Oct 6

Zach CollinsF-C
Chicago BullsCollins' 2025-26 season was cut short after he underwent surgery in February due to a sprained toe on his right foot. It's unclear if the current soft tissue injury is related to the toe, but the big man's status will be worth monitoring ahead of Chicago's preseason opener against Phoenix on Wednesday, Oct. 7. If he's forced to miss time to start the regular season, Jalen Smith would have a much clearer path to playing time behind Nic Claxton.QuestionableEst. Oct 7

Indiana PacersNance has been limited in training camp thus far due to a hamstring injury, though there's optimism he'll be a full participant soon, per East. The veteran big man can be considered questionable for Wednesday's preseason opener against Minnesota until more information comes to light.QuestionableEst. Oct 7

Orlando MagicBlack has been limited by a sprained ankle in training camp but is trending in the right direction ahead of Wednesday's preseason opener against Memphis. He's coming off a breakout season in 2025-26, averaging 15.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.1 combined steals-plus-blocks in 29.8 minutes per contest across 64 regular-season games (40 starts). He's expected to operate as the club's top reserve in 2026-27.QuestionableEst. Oct 7

Noah PendaG-F
Orlando MagicPenda tweaked his hamstring in late September and has been limited during training camp. However, he's trending in the right direction ahead of Wednesday's preseason opener against Memphis. The 21-year-old figures to compete with Jamal Cain and Tristan da Silva for minutes off the bench in 2026-27.QuestionableEst. Oct 7

Indiana PacersIt's unclear why McConnell is sitting out the scrimmage. The veteran point guard can be considered questionable for Wednesday's preseason opener against the Timberwolves until the Pacers offer an update on his status.QuestionableEst. Oct 7

Indiana PacersIt's unclear why the 28-year-old isn't participating in Sunday's scrimmage, and he's joined by T.J. McConnell (undisclosed), Larry Nance (hamstring) and Johnny Furphy (knee) on the sidelines. Jackson can be considered questionable for Wednesday's preseason opener against Minnesota until further notice.QuestionableEst. Oct 7
DJ
San Antonio SpursJones Garcia is set for his second season with San Antonio in 2026-27, though most of his action is likely to come with the G League's Austin Spurs. He underwent ankle surgery in February, so it's unclear if Jones Garcia will be ready for full participation in training camp this fall.QuestionableEst. Oct 8
AS
Washington WizardsSarr has been limited in training camp thus far while working his way back from surgery he underwent in mid-June to repair a fractured right foot. The big man is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season, though it's unclear how active he'll be during the preseason. Over 48 regular-season games in 2025-26, he averaged 16.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.0 blocks and 0.8 steals in 27.2 minutes per contest.QuestionableEst. Oct 8

Dallas MavericksUjiri noted that Lively has progressed to shooting and is working toward running on the court, though Dallas intends to remain patient with the 22-year-old. Lively underwent right foot surgery in December after appearing in just seven regular-season games in 2025-26, averaging 4.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.6 blocks in 16.4 minutes per game. He has yet to be cleared for training camp, and his status for the beginning of the regular season remains uncertain.QuestionableEst. Oct 9

Dallas MavericksIrving missed the entire 2025-26 season while recovering from surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee, but he has been participating in pickup games during his ramp-up process. The 34-year-old last played in 2024-25, when he averaged 24.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.3 steals in 36.1 minutes across 50 regular-season appearances. Ujiri's comments provide another positive sign that Irving is closing in on his return, though Dallas has yet to announce a definitive timeline.QuestionableEst. Oct 9

Dallas MavericksHead coach Dusty May didn't elaborate, only stating Aldama is dealing with a "nagging injury." The 2021 No. 30 overall pick had spent his entire career in Memphis before being traded to Dallas in July of 2026. In 278 regular-season games, including 82 starts, he averaged 10.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists over 23.4 minutes per contest. His shooting acumen will allow the Mavericks to stretch the floor, and his versatility enables him to man multiple positions while playing various roles. Aldama underwent knee surgery in March, and while it's unknown if that's still a concern, fantasy managers should continue monitoring his health throughout training camp.QuestionableEst. Oct 9

Toronto RaptorsMartin missed the Raptors' Summer League finale on July 19, and he didn't play in the preseason opener either. However, even if he's cleared to play before the regular season starts, he shouldn't be a regular member of the rotation. Martin appeared in just 23 regular-season games in 2025-26, averaging just 6.3 minutes and 2.2 points per game.QuestionableEst. Oct 10

LA ClippersWhile Beal has recovered from hip surgery that cost him nearly all of last year, he's now dealing with knee inflammation. His status is in doubt for the preseason opener Sunday against the Warriors, but the veteran swingman's regular-season status doesn't sound to be in serious danger for now.QuestionableEst. Oct 10

Toronto RaptorsAnderson will miss the Raptors' preseason opener after sitting out Thursday's scrimmage with a right knee contusion. His next opportunity to suit up in the preseason will come next Saturday against the Clippers.QuestionableEst. Oct 10

Toronto RaptorsBattle was held out of Thursday's scrimmage due to a lower-back injury, and he'll remain sidelined for Toronto's preseason opener. His next chance to play in the preseason will come next Saturday against the Clippers.QuestionableEst. Oct 10

LA ClippersIt's unclear when Sanders began dealing with the hip issue, though it'll keep him out of the Clippers' preseason opener. He will also be limited to individual work during Saturday's practice, per Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com. Sanders' next opportunity to suit up during the preseason will come next Saturday against the Raptors.QuestionableEst. Oct 10

Toronto RaptorsLeonard is expected to miss both of Toronto's first two preseason games as part of his ramp-up plan. He'll have three more chances to suit up before the regular season if he's held out of next Saturday's contest.QuestionableEst. Oct 10

Toronto RaptorsJackson-Davis is one of several Toronto players who won't suit up for Saturday's preseason opener, along with several other names such as Allen Graves (groin), Kawhi Leonard (not injury related), Nate Bittle (foot) and others. Jackson-Davis' next chance to play will come against the Clippers on Saturday, Oct. 10.QuestionableEst. Oct 10

LA ClippersStrus appeared to tweak his foot while making a cut in the first quarter. Keaton Wagler figures to see more playing time with Strus out.QuestionableEst. Oct 10
KP
Golden State WarriorsPorzingis will miss the start of training camp due to the unknown issue, and his status for the beginning of the regular season is murky. If the veteran big man is forced to miss time to begin the campaign, Al Horford and Charles Bassey would be candidates for increased playing time.QuestionableEst. Oct 13

Atlanta HawksGueye will be re-evaluated by medical staff in 3-to-4 months, which means he'll miss all of training camp and preseason and likely the start of the 2026-27 regular season. It's a brutal blow for the fourth-year big man, given that the Hawks used the No. 23 overall pick of the 2026 NBA Draft to select St. John's product Zuby Ejiofor. Gueye's absence means Ejiofor will have more opportunities in the preseason, and the rookie could establish a key role off the bench behind Onyeka Okongwu and projected backup center Jock Landale (ankle).QuestionableEst. Oct 15

Miami HeatThis is a tough blow for the point guard who was penciled in as the top backup behind Davion Mitchell. If he indeed misses a couple weeks, he could be back in time for their final preseason contest Oct. 16.QuestionableEst. Oct 16
TF
Tacko FallC
Philadelphia 76ersThis is a tough blow for Fall, as he's already facing an uphill battle to make the final roster. A return Oct. 16 isn't out of the question based on this timetable.QuestionableEst. Oct 16

San Antonio Spurs"It's a calf strain, the seriousness is what it is," said Johnson. "We won't rush him at all. I guess the question will be is he ready for the season opener? Totally questionable and we will not push that at all. So, we'll take it slow. There is no concern of this level of seriousness, and at the same time, we will not rush him at all." It sounds like Harris, who has already been ruled out for the preseason, is in danger of missing opening night. His absence will open up minutes for Julian Champagnie, Keldon Johnson and Harrison Barnes.QuestionableEst. Oct 20

Kon KnueppelG-F
Charlotte HornetsKnueppel's status for Opening Night remains uncertain as he continues to work his way back from his left hamstring injury. Peterson's comments suggest the Hornets aren't ready to rule out the second-year wing, though his availability will likely become clearer as training camp progresses. He has already been ruled out for the entire preseason, to be clear.QuestionableEst. Oct 21

Charlotte HornetsWilliams will be re-evaluated the first week of the regular season, putting his status for Opening Night in the air. Williams will have a difficult path to minutes this season as he competes with the likes of Naz Reid, Royce O'Neale and Tidjane Salaun.QuestionableEst. Oct 21

New York KnicksEubanks will compete for a spot on the Knicks' regular-season roster in training camp. The big man underwent surgery to repair a torn UCL in his left thumb in mid-March, though he's expected to be fully healthy when training camp rolls around. Across 42 regular-season appearances (11 starts) for the Kings last season, the 29-year-old averaged 5.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 0.6 blocks and 0.5 assists in 13.1 minutes per game.ProbableEst. Oct 5

Orlando MagicIsaac suffered his left knee sprain late in the 2025-26 regular season and missed Orlando's entire first-round playoff series against Detroit. The veteran forward said he spent the summer rehabbing his knee and isn't fully ready for camp, though he indicated that the expectation is for him to be fine. His activity level will be worth monitoring as the preseason approaches.ProbableEst. Oct 7

Cleveland CavaliersWatson isn't guaranteed a spot in the starting five immediately but will have the chance to compete for it during training camp. The 24-year-old forward figures to play a sizable role for Cleveland after being acquired from the Nuggets in August in a multi-team deal. Watson was limited to just 54 regular-season appearances (40 starts) in 2025-26 due in large part to a strained hamstring, though he impressed when healthy, averaging career highs in points (14.6), rebounds (4.9), assists (2.1) and steals (0.9) while chipping in 1.1 blocks per game and shooting 41.1 percent from beyond the arc. His length and defensive versatility will be key for a Cleveland team trying to reach the Finals for the first time since the 2017-18 campaign. However, his growth on the offensive end will also be crucial to achieving that objective. Watson is one of the top candidates to join James Harden, Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen in the starting lineup, but Atkinson isn't ready to commit to that idea just yet, as the Cavaliers have other options like Sam Merrill and Jaylon Tyson.ProbableEst. Oct 8
