Question 1

Who has the longest active prop streak on today's NBA slate?

Accepted Answer

Prop streak data for today's slate is updated as soon as lines go live. Set the minimum streak filter to 5+ and check back closer to tip-off for a full list of players on active over and under streaks. The default view shows both directions sorted by streak length, longest first.

Question 2

Are there more over or under prop streaks active today?

Accepted Answer

The balance between over and under streaks shifts daily based on which games are scheduled and how sportsbook lines have moved. Use the Direction filter to isolate over or under streaks. Under streaks can be just as valuable as over streaks — particularly when a player's role or minutes have quietly declined but the prop line hasn't adjusted.

Question 3

Which NBA prop types produce the longest streaks?

Accepted Answer

Points props at moderate thresholds (15+, 20+) often run the longest because consistent scorers reliably exceed accessible lines. Assists streaks above 5+ are common for primary playmakers whose usage stays high. Rebounds streaks at 6+ are typical for starting big men. Combined stat props (PRA, Pts + Reb) tend to smooth variance and produce more consistent streaks than single-category props.

Question 4

What is a prop streak and how is it different from a player streak?

Accepted Answer

A player streak tracks raw statistical output — for example, 20+ points in consecutive games. A prop streak is tied to a specific sportsbook line: it tracks whether a player has exceeded the exact market threshold for consecutive games. Prop streaks are more directly actionable because they measure performance against the number you're actually betting, not an arbitrary round figure. Statz calculates prop streaks using the main line offered by sportsbooks, not alternate lines.

Question 5

What streak length is worth backing as an NBA prop bet?

Accepted Answer

A streak of 5 or more consecutive games over a line is worth investigating — the default filter on this page starts here. At 7+ games, there is a systematic mismatch between the line and the player's current form or role. At 10+ games, it is exceptional and typically signals either an underpriced line or a meaningful change in the player's team role. Always cross-reference the matchup — a long streak built against weak defensive opponents carries less weight than one built across a varied schedule.

Question 6

Do sportsbook lines adjust when a player is on a long streak?

Accepted Answer

Sportsbooks do monitor player performance and adjust lines, but movement often lags — particularly on secondary markets like steals, blocks and combined stat props. This lag is where prop streaks offer the most value. A player on an 8-game assists streak may still carry the same line from earlier in the season if the book hasn't reacted to a new offensive role. Long streaks on lower-volume markets are the least likely to have been corrected, making them the highest-value targets.
